Dentures are like the third set of teeth that are customized to the patient when he/she loses some or all-natural teeth.
Dentures not only replace some or all teeth in the mouth but also replace the portion of missing gums once the natural teeth are lost.
Conventionally they’re removable appliances that can be placed and removed from the mouth by the patient.
Humans usually have two sets of dentition throughout life. First, the milk teeth that are usually lost by teenagers and are replaced by the second set of teeth; the permanent dentition.

Complete Dentures

It is a prosthetic device that replaces all of the natural teeth and lost gums.

What is it replaced with?

The lost portion of gums is replaced with a pink/flesh-colored-based material called Poly Methyl Methacrylate Polymer and the missing teeth are replaced with white acrylic material that is available in different shapes, sizes, and shades to customize to each patient.

When do u need dentures?

When all of your teeth in one or both arches are missing.
When most of the teeth in your mouth are mobile.
Gum disease( periodontitis)
Developmental abnormalities of the oral cavity.

Partial dentures

Replaces one or more missing teeth and associated soft tissues.

Complete or partial dentures are usually made of different materials like :

Acrylic ( polymethyl methacrylate)
Metal ( chrome cobalt material)
