Bruxism Treatment

Diagnosis

As every patient walks into our clinic we examine them for signs of bruxism.

Obvious signs of bruxism?

Tender jaw muscles
Broken or missing teeth
The pattern of wear facets on your teeth.
The severity of pain and sensitivity on your teeth.

Treatment

For children: it’s a transitional habit and will go by itself.
Adults- based on the severity
Medication

Splints and mouth guards: They keep the teeth separated to avoid damage caused by clenching and grinding. They are remade out of hard or soft materials that fit over your upper or lower teeth.

Dental correction: In severe cases with severe sensitivity or the inability to chew reshape the chewing surfaces of your teeth or fabricate crowns and bridges to restore the normal function.
